Laundry Room Upgrades

Your laundry room must have more than a shelf and two laundry units. You want extra space and some added features to make laundry an easy and efficient task. In this article, we will dive into these aspects to show you the potential laundry experience you could have.

The first thing that needs to be done is adding cabinetry across the wall. The cabinets can be installed over the appliances, or perpendicular to them. If the space is big enough, adding a counter space under the upper cabinets with base cabinets will drastically add more storage space for the linens and soaps you stock up on. It can also give you a place to fold some laundry.

Next is a feature that brings your laundry game day to the next level. Adding a utility sink or a small vanity sink with cabinet storage underneath will allow you to wash clothing stains near the washer before you throw a load in. Better yet, when you pour detergents with a cup, no one wants to run to the nearest sink to rinse the residual soap left in the cup. The sink saves you the extra steps and time. Sometimes, your laundry room is located right before you head out to the garage or the backyard, leaving a convenient sink to wash up after working outside.
